We were on our way to Amorette, (a restaurant in Lancaster that is owned by his uncle) for dinner reservations. He did NOT have that planned but he already hired a professional photographer so he had to follow through with the location as planned. As we made our way to Amorette I was surprised again with my entire family surrounding the table. One last surprise of the night was when I walked out after dinner and saw all of our closest friends there to celebrate the engagement. There were three things I asked of Jared when we started talking about getting engaged. 1. I want it on camera, 2. I want to be surrounded by my family 3. I want to celebrate with my friends. Not only did he follow through with my insane requests, but he knocked it out of the park. About the couple: Having met at a university house party, out going and party girl Rose immediately fell for Jonny’s quietly confident charisma and bashful charm…they say opposites attract and these two certainly prove this to be true as over years and countries later their love is still strong having moved from Manchester to London and now residing in Abu Dhabi … and having welcomed their gorgeous baby boy Chester who nearly stole the show on their wedding day. Their romantic day was all about cementing their love and bond, surrounded by those who they love most…and a bloody good party too! Following on from their fun antics and busy social lives in Abu Dhabi consisting of glamorous nights out, ladies lunches, bbq’s and last min luxurious trips to the Maldives and beyond… they spared no expense in making sure their friends and family were well catered for and looked after. It was an entertaining day where all the details had been accounted for – from sharing platters for the meals; homage to the types of food back home in Adu Dhabi to their favourite drinks and a live band and nightclub playing their favourite old school music. Later that night they ran into him again but this time he had a friend with him who was Joe. Taylor was immediately attracted to Joe and his great dance moves. They ended up on another rooftop dancing the night away. The night ended and Joe got Taylor's number to go floating down the river the following day. It took awhile to get there however Joe held up the last truck to take them to the river. Joe and Taylor spent the whole float time talking and getting to know one another. At the end of the day they said that they hoped to stay in contact. After that Joe and Taylor decided to Skype date (Really they would buy the same food and over Skype Taylor would teach Joe how to make the food and they would eat dinner "together"). The arbor was the item made by my father out of driftwood that he found on adventures, which will speak to myself and Sean for many years to come as a key piece of our big day. As for other key pieces to our wedding, we had a few that were exceptionally outrageous that speak volumes to how truly goofy we both are. For one, we thought to ourselves.... who wants to do a boring bouquet and garter toss in 2019?! NOT US, we went for an out of the box idea and this..... included inflatable DINOSAUR SUITS!!! Yes, you read that right! Dinosaur suits were what we used after the garter and bouquet were caught for a dance off in which EVERYONE and I mean everyone was laughing and clapping. Looking back on what was most magical about the wedding ceremony could be several different things in which can vary from having our families there in the most entirety as they could have been to my girls being by my side and Sean having his best friends by his. Following this was a moment that Sean and I will remember for a lifetime, a great friend of ours took us on a wooden boat ride during cocktail hour. This gave way for Sean and I to really soak in what we had overcome and accomplished as a newlywed couple! It was nothing short of amazing and the pictures that were taken on this boat ride were exceptional. The Lake George Club will be valued to us for its ability to speak to our personalities and who we wish to become as we grow old together. It provided a timeless wedding in which the staff and amenities were nothing short of amazing. The list of these things could go on and on! As for advice for anyone planning a wedding, we both want to say it would be to consider each other in every decision (even down to the simplest things) and to most importantly take a chance like we did with the alone cocktail hour and enjoy each other's presence for a moment after because we promise, it will become very crazy with all the people to say hi to and the amount of love you'll receive. He is still bitter that the trip to Ikea cost him $1 more than the value of the things he returned. For reasons yet to be understood, Jaimee loved it. They talked into the night and Kevin walked Jaimee to Grand Central before they went their ways. The next meetup took less convincing. The following Sunday, the day before Labor Day, Kevin and Jaimee met to spend the afternoon together. They met at the clocktower in Grand Central and took the subway towards the Highline. By the time they got there, a flash storm was pelting the city with heavy rain. A crowd bunched around the 8th avenue L stop exit, as people covered their heads with umbrellas, jackets and backpacks. Chanel and Timmy envisioned their wedding to be large and a “party”. They both come from big families; Chanel's being Italian and Timmy's being Greek, so they knew it wouldn’t be a small guest count. Their favorite moment was the first dance. They had worked on it for a few weeks prior to the big day, and knew that would surprise everyone.
